This piece is inspired by women's place as divine-beings and life-givers in ancient cultures. Women have always shared a connection with the earth but we used to be revered for this connection. Even when patriarchal societies tried to destroy this connection, women survived and prospered through the oppression. We have used stories, blood, sweat, and dirt to pass our wisdom down to help each other survive, as well as, our histories.
