A Woman's Life In Touch

This piece examines two separate ideas. First, it examines the relationship women have with their bodies throughout their lives. The way one part can remind you of happy childhood memories, another a deep insecurity, and another an initimate moment when you were in love. So much of a woman's history and mind state can be told through memories associated with parts of her body. This painting also examines the way the world feels entitled to leave its marks on a woman's body. The mixture of colors is supposed to show that not all the marks, memories, or intentions are bad or negative but that either way they are still stained on the body forever.
